Why…
…did Gabrielle back flip over Joseph, yesterday.
…were the kids testing my patience.
…did I fail every test.
…all day yesterday was I finding it hard to focus, stay on task, and be productive.
…was the Zumba class unorganized.
…after all of that did I find my self battling depression.
Well, this morning when I woke up , I asked Jesus to take all the things from yesterday. Help me to lean on and find rest in him. Only Jesus can control it, only he is Alpha and Omega.Thank you Jesus.

Yesterday in bible study we talked about protecting our minds and Philippians 4:8 which gives us a list of what we should be thinking about. So, I thought I would give you a glimpse into my mind.
Right now I am thinking about getting something to eat. I know I don’t want any pork and I have to cut back on beef. Turkey is good but I am boycotting chicken cause I eat to much of it. But I am honestly considering getting a peiece of fried chicken. Took a minute to check someone else’s blog, nothing new, so I went to twitter to see what’s on her mind….Why Jesus?! am I watching old people sing popular songs on Youtube now….wondering where in the world do people find this stuff….Which also leads me to what in the world am I going to do for my birthday?? Maybe I invite some people over and we can sing kareoke from my TV on Oxygen on demand…… and laugh……no, I don’t have the right friends for that…or do I? Maybe I should make some new friends. I think I will try when I go to the mom’s event tommorrow.
Gabrielle wants a pink party she informed me today. Not difficult to plan? But is that all two years think about is parties….And why is she determined to celebrate her birthday everyday? maybe I ought to celebrate being 26 for 365 days. I can have a cupcake every morning. That’s a little upsurd though. Back to this very moment….I am still hungry…hmmm what to eat?

I went to dinner last night with Otis,Sr. and Joseph. We went to Skyline. While we were eating the crackers that they give so you don’t die from starvation, Joseph just watched. By the time we got our food, Joseph decides to reach for the menu and in effort to do so he turned all the way around in his car seat. And when we moved the menu he decided that since he was turned around he would just play with the car seat buckles. So I present to you the pics….

I listen to KLOVE every time I get into the car. last week they had their spring pledge drive and they came up short. Saturday, during prayer God showed our pastor that we were going to be streched and streching came swiftly….Sunday proved to be a trying day for us. In addition, to that everyone I know has been tested financially. I spent a good majority of my day thinking to day how I and everyone I cared about was going to make it in an economy which seems to be against us ( and not just us as African Americans but everyone economy knows no color). I began to think of how “I” could do it and God spoke so clearly. ” I have never seen the righteous forsaken nor his seed begging for bread.”
So I want to encourage those who feel just like me….
GOD. has. got. it. We just need to remain righteous because as long as we stay that way he will delight in every detail of our lives and as we stumble we won’t fall. He loves us too much to let us suffer but in order to have increase we have got to be stretched.
Thank you Lord for allowing us to be stretched. For preparing us for all of the blessings and needs that you promised us according to your riches in Christ Jesus. When we feel our faith slipping allow us to replay the tape of our lives and realize that you are there at the beginning, the middle, and the end. You haven’t left us before and It’s not your intention to leave us now. Fill us with your peace that surpasses all understanding as we lay this issue and everything else on you. Amen.
Otis and I went to the movies late last night on a date. We had budgeted for “Bargain Tuesday” which used to be $5.00 (2 weeks ago), is now $6.00. My husband tries to bargain with the lady cause he planned on spending $10 to take me to the movies. The cost of a movie has now raised to $10.25 and all of a sudden it hit me….it’s cheaper to buy the DVD. Wow, I mean really it would cost me $30.75 to take everybody to the movies. We haven’t even got snacks yet….
…..So after I get over the cost of the movies, We settle down to watch “Meet the Browns”. The character Brown is almost funnier than Madea, but a movie would not have been as funny without Madea and Brown. If you ever watch the trailer for this movie you would die laughing cause they show most of the funny parts in the trailer but you gotta watch the entire movie. BTW, Rick Fox sounds like a muppet….which took away from his appeal as being the right guy. They should have got the black guy with the goatee from the original Law & Order, he would have been perfect….and he probably could have learned to play basket ball too.
Well, let just end by saying that unless we go the Dollar saver movies which will probably be raised to $4 we are going to just view all our movies at home now….Maybe with our economic stimulus money we will buy and AppleTV. Yeah, we will be doing movies at home from now on and just going for it…..red vines, popcorn, pretzels, takeout, pizza, nachos, the whole 10-4. Movies are so expensive. WOW.
