I just wanted to let everyone know that I am okay by blogging. even though I blogged on monday, I am finding it hard to blog every day so here is what happened after Monday. Tuesday i took the kids to praise team practice with me, where Aaron decided that he could sing a part that I could not get better than I could. Then Aaron and Gabrielle got into a fight and I broke it up and sent them into corners. while Jo-Jo tried to like the outlets in the floor and Otis sat on his back. My husband was at home sick and I took that opportunity to make him some homemade chicken noodle soup for the first time, mixing a recipe that I got from the internet and one from the chicken broth box.  He said it was yummy, but because I am used to campbell’s salty soup. I thought it needed more salt. I haven’t been to the gym at all and it’s driving me insane because I feel like I have gained more weight since I haven’t gone. The ending to CSI:Miami left me dumbfounded and wondering what the world. However, the finale to Law & Order SVU and Law & Order were AWESOME! I missed the Gossip girl season finale and they haven’t put it on iTunes yet. I mean come on how long do I have to wait?! My mother-in-law wants to BBQ everything in the freezer on Monday and I am trying to find a way to tell her that 1 meat and 2 sides are good and more than enough, without hurting her feelings. Gas in Dayton is 3.99, which is actually just four cents lower than what it was last thursday.

What a weekend! What a nice weekend to turn 26. Yes, twenty-six is the new 25.  So what did I do to celebrate you ask?

Friday

In the morning I got my hair done with a couple of ladies from the church. It’s turn what you hear Word of Faith will bring the party with them. It was great I haven’t laughed so hard in a long time. I left the shop and went to redeem my mother’s day certificate from Hausfield’s. Oh, it was so relaxing. A 30 minute massage, manicure, and pedicure. Then, to top it off a special evening with my husband at L’auberge. It was excellent formal dining. When you get it side the resturant it’s eclectic mix of furniture will make you feel a lot more comfortable and relaxed. The food was so yummy, even though we thought that the portions were going to be similar to those on the Mastercard commerical’s and that we would end up somewhere like burger king afterwards. Fooled us. The portions were just right and when we were done we were full with out feeling stuffed. I tried green caviar and felt bad cuz I felt like I was killing Nemo and his brother’s. I would rather eat Sabastian.  We ended the evening with cheesecake at the Cheesecake factory. Double yummy.

Saturday, we saw The chronicles of Narnia Prince Caspian….really good. Really.  Really. We played hookey from the world and found deals at the store. We ate at Red Robin, good experience, really good food, even better ice cream (but no cold stone). They sang happy birthday.  clap, clap, clap, clap I don’t know but I been told someone here is getting old! Awesome.

Sunday, My hubby tried to cap off the weekend with a surprise party (which my mom made duel cause my brother’s birthday was 5/7). But the fun part was when we showed up at 4:30 nobody was there so I decided to yell “Surprise” everytime I opened the door for one of my guests.  LOL! Good Times. We started telling stories about the kids, guns, and my Grandad.

I was so tired this morning I could have just laid in the bed. But,  up an at em’.  It was a great weekend and a great way to turn 26. Thanks everybody. It was great. thanks.

P.S. while i was writing this Gabrielle discovered holes in Jo-Jo’s play pen and started singing get the holes. Which sounded like “Get dem hoes, get the dem Hoes” I had to take a minute think about what she was saying.

LOL!

Mother’s Day

Mother’s day was great. The kids and the granny got me a plaque to hang on the wall of the Lord’s Supper. It’s so baptisty that it doesn’t really go with the decor of my house. However, I am going to put it in my office at the church. Way to go Momma Jo. My wonderful husband is going to allow me to pamper myself. YES! Thank you Jesus. So we move on….Thanks for the gifts, you guys never make me feel like you only appreciate me once a year.

This week we prepare for what is to come. Work, school, and….My Birthday. 26 is the new 25…for me anyway. This is the first year in four years that I have not been pregnant or broke on my birthday. So I am excited. Thank You Jesus! There is only so much you can do when your broke and pregnant.

So I have decided that I am going to celebrate with the kids. That Gabrielle and I would buy some party hats and the such and throw a pink party for mommy.

It’s going to be a good week.

A Mother’s Day Salute

Happy Mother’s Day Mom’s! Our day has come. Our one day a year where as mother’s get our plaques, designated TV shows, songs, etc. Ahhh, mother’s day. When, everybody else remembers that if it wasn’t for mom, we would be here. Hey, can I get the big piece of chicken this time?

So mom’s let’s unite. Take the day off and do nothing, ABCFamily has dedicated a whole saturday movie marathon to us. So maybe just for one day the laundry in the dryer can wait, the pee on the floor behind the toilet can marinate, the scum around the bathtub will have to wait for another day. The sweet liberty to be a mom.

Enjoy the weekend!

Party Planning

It’s that time of year. My birthday, the kids birthday, and at the end of the year my husband. So let’s get started….

My Birthday

So I have asked for a whole weekend of excitement, fine dining, and sleep. Hey, 26 is the new 25.

Gabrielle and Otis Jr.

Gabrielle is insistent on having a PINK party. She stated that she had to have pink hats, pink plates, pink napkins, pink, pink, pink…When I told her that she would be sharing a party with Otis Jr. (brother). She stated that brother had to have an orange party. Wow, pink and orange….I have an interesting birthday challenge ahead of me. In addition to that, Aaron showed Gabrielle swimming pools in the K-mart add this week, and every since. She wants to go to the “wimming pool” and have a “wimming party”. Yep, I have a lot to plan.

Aaron

Hmmmm….What to do?  Skating party? bowling party? Chuck E. Cheese? Pump it up? We will see.

Joseph

It will be his first birthday in October…by this time I will probably be burnt out. Sounds like family dinner.

My Husband

Will be the big 3-0. Oh yeah, I am throwing him a very BIG party. I’ll stop right there.

Fun…Happy planning

:)

I am Free!

Through You the kingdom comes, Through You the battle’s won, Through You I’m not afraid, Through You the price is paid, Through You there’s victory, Because of You my heart screams I AM FREE! I am Free!

—The Newsboys “I am Free” From the Album GO

I. AM. FREE. That feels so good. I believe it too. He whom the SON set free is free indeed. Yep, I. AM. FREE. Just needed to say it out L.O.U.D. Had to take a minute to worship. Okay, I am back.

This week I recieved a letter from the Dayton Public School board notifiying me that Aaron had been a superintendent’s scholar for two or more quarters this year. Hooray! I am so proud him. They are having a reception for him the Monday after Mother’s day. What an awesome gift (for me and him). Pin. The stupid school board also sends me a postcard everyday trying to convince that sending my child to a different school next year is a big mistake. The post card says stuff like “we have the newest technology.”  Sure you do….

I found out that Gabrielle is extremely protective over Joseph.  She liked to tell Dr. Patterson off for checking Jo-jo out  and get the nurse for giving him shots.

My doctor told me not have anymore children. (I am okay with that).

I have been sleeping on the K-Mart. I went in yesterday, and I have decided that the kids summer collection will come from here. I sold Otis Sr. when I told him that they had a shirt in there for Gabrielle that said “My heart belongs to Daddy”. However, the little boys shirts don’t say anything about me so Mother’s must be taking a t-shirt break.

This weekend I am going to visit the grandparents, since we have not done so in about two months. Yes they called and gave us the business about this but they also gave us the business about my Cousin (no names) not coming to see them as they promised.  So, Saturday I am taking an internet and cable break. They don’t have either at their house and are waiting until the last minute to get cable but have sworn off internet as “the devil”. Maybe I can get them to change their mind? Doubt it.

Enjoy the weekend.
