I am on a quest to get organized and doing so has birthed many things. First a budget, then a meal plan, and now the desire to get EVERYTHING ready the night before. In the next couple of posts I will go through the ups and downs of each and my own personal experiences.
The Budget
Last August, I had the opportunity to sit in a financial seminar with Joe Sangl. Changed my life and the way I budget totally. We use an excel spreadsheet to budget out our entire paycheck to the very last penny. The formula is Income- Outgo= Exactly Zero. Did I mention that this has changed my life? You can find tips to financial freedom , debt pay off graphs, budget spreadsheet downloads here. Joe’s website is chocked full of DEBT FREE soultions. Can you say DEBT FREE!!! Check him out. It’ll bless you. I has definetly blessed me.
P.S. If his crusade comes to your town. You want check it out!
Those blessed by the LORD will inherit the land, but those cursed by him will die.The steps of the godly are directed by the LORD. He delights in every detail of their lives.Though, they stumble, they will not fall, for the LORD holds them by the hand. Once I was young, and now I am old. Yet I have never seen the godly forsaken nor seen their children begging for bread. (Psalms 37:21-25 NLT)
I listen to KLOVE every time I get into the car. last week they had their spring pledge drive and they came up short. Saturday, during prayer God showed our pastor that we were going to be streched and streching came swiftly….Sunday proved to be a trying day for us. In addition, to that everyone I know has been tested financially. I spent a good majority of my day thinking to day how I and everyone I cared about was going to make it in an economy which seems to be against us ( and not just us as African Americans but everyone economy knows no color). I began to think of how “I” could do it and God spoke so clearly. ” I have never seen the righteous forsaken nor his seed begging for bread.”
So I want to encourage those who feel just like me….
GOD. has. got. it. We just need to remain righteous because as long as we stay that way he will delight in every detail of our lives and as we stumble we won’t fall. He loves us too much to let us suffer but in order to have increase we have got to be stretched.
Thank you Lord for allowing us to be stretched. For preparing us for all of the blessings and needs that you promised us according to your riches in Christ Jesus. When we feel our faith slipping allow us to replay the tape of our lives and realize that you are there at the beginning, the middle, and the end. You haven’t left us before and It’s not your intention to leave us now. Fill us with your peace that surpasses all understanding as we lay this issue and everything else on you. Amen.

It’s April and as I was thinking about what I was going to post, I also found myself wondering what me and the kids were going to do this summer. There is so much to do and I don’t want to spend every pay check on the kids fun activities. especially because I have little kids and they don’t care if we got out into the backyard and have a mud fight in the flower box. The youngest thinks that fighting his way out of a cardboard box is fun. But it lead me to thinking about how I used to spend my summer as a child, how I wanted to spend my summer, and In turn How I want my kids to spend the summer. We will probably end up going to the water park every other day cause that is free and they have a playset. Maybe we will only take one big field trip a week. Hmmm…..that ’s definetely something to think about…. All of this leads me to my question….What did you like to do in the summer when you were a child? What would you like your children to do? Sound off I am interested in hearing all the good activities and ideas for activities for my children to do.

Okay, So maybe I was a little premature in saying that I was going to stop blogging and delete my blog. People do read it….I probably should have looked at my stats before I got up set but oh, well. Today, I would like to reflect and take the time to say what I am grateful for:
1. My Husband. We had to hash somethings out last night….and when I woke up he was there…at 12p, 1a,3a, and 5a…he had to leave to go to work though. When I called him he stated that he was coming home. Thank you Jesus.
2. Food. There are plenty who don’t have it. I have some at home so I am thankful….even if all Gabrielle wants to eat is “Marsh-melons”.
3. Common Sense. Cuz, not everyone has it.
4. Kids. even though they are with the babysitter, it’s this time that causes me to reflect and realize beautiful they are.
5 . New Episodes of my favorite shows!! Thank Ya Jesus!
6. A babysitter. I love my children but sometimes they get on my nerves. Thank you Jesus for a baby sitter.
7. McDonald’s Sweet Tea…
8. Boston Stoker Coffee
Okay, So just a recap I am gratful for family and stuff, and that Jesus still lives……Plus, I am not going to delete my blog.
