Again, Someone asked me about baking…. I know where I stand. So I am okay this time. I have a long road ahead of me but I am really looking forward to accomplishing my dream…. Owning my own bakery…even if it is in my kitchen….

Side note: I grilled some Apple Pears today, OMG! I am excited about grilling Watermelon and plums tomorrow. YUM! I can’t wait.

Favorite Things

I just made these last week, They are so good made with real butter. I thought I would pass the recipe on :

Original Nestle Toll House Cookie Recipe

Ingredients

* 2 1/4 cups all-purpose flour
* 1 teaspoon baking soda
* 1 teaspoon salt
* 1 cup butter or margarine, softened
* 3/4 cup granulated sugar
* 3/4 cup packed brown sugar
* 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
* 2 large egg
* 1 (12 ounce) package NESTLE® TOLL HOUSE® Semi-Sweet Chocolate Morsels
* 1 cup chopped nuts

Directions

1. PREHEAT oven to 375 degrees F.
2. COMBINE flour, baking soda and salt in small bowl. Beat butter, granulated sugar, brown sugar and vanilla extract in large mixer bowl until creamy. Add eggs one at a time, beating well after each addition. Gradually beat in flour mixture. Stir in morsels and nuts. Drop by rounded tablespoon onto ungreased baking sheets.
3. BAKE for 9 to 11 minutes or until golden brown. Cool on baking sheets for 2 minutes; remove to wire racks to cool completely.

My son has been taking them for his lunch the last 3 days, they are so good and at least I know that my cookies don’t have any preservatives. I can get down with that. Enjoy!

Reflections

Is there anything that God has been telling you to do and you’ve been dragging your feet?

I have. I have been dragging my feet on what God has been saying questioning every little word and making one excuse after another. This week it is my plan to follow through on some of the plans that God has given me. Why not? I don’t have anything to lose and God has proven that if we will just obey him, he will make sure that we will be kept. There is not better guarantee.

Promises

I find myself in an interesting place in my life. Lately, I have been put into positions where I have found my faith in God and his promises being tested. In the past, I have made promises that I haven’t kept and promises have been made to me that haven’t been kept.

What I have come to understand is this:

Let us hold fast the confession of our hope without wavering, for he who promised is faithful. Hebrews 10:23

When God make us a promise, he keeps it. He always comes through for us. He doesn’t lie. It’s in this fact, that I rest.

A Clean Slate

18 “But forget all that – it is nothing compared to what I am going to do. 19 For I am about to do a brand-new thing. See, I have already begun! Do you not see it? A couple of years ago, I started blogging because it was the thing to do. Everyone around me was doing it and I was following some successful blogs. My thought was that I could duplicate what those blogs were already doing and get the same results. After a while, I couldn’t keep up. I was unable to post everyday and eventually, I fell off blogging. I had to realize that blogging was a little more than random thoughts and copying others thoughts.

Needless to say, I have decided to start blogging again. This time with a different outlook on what my blog should look like and what exactly I am supposed to say. I got much need direction and focus about what I need to do.I have started with a clean slate. A fresh start. I am looking forward to what the Lord has to say and about the people that my blog will impact.
