Ahhhh,
The sleepover for Aaron’s birthday party was last night. We had sooo much fun. They played in the water sprinkler, ate hotdogs, ate cupcakes, them we did a bead craft where we made sports necklaces and anklets and bracelets. Let’s pause here for a minute because believe it or not the boys were more interested in doing this craft than the girls were. The boys were engaged for a full 60 minutes while 30 minutes in the girls were done and off to find something more interesting to do. Next, we are outside playing flashlight tag and roasting marshmallows. we took a neighborhood walk where camp counselor Zakiyah proceeded to get us lost at 11:30p but we eventually found our way back home. Everyone of the children were excited at the opportunity to lay in their sleeping bag and of course we had popcorn and watched a movie. This morning we ate breakfast ( french toast and bacon), decorated visors and each guest was sent home with a sizeable bag of Monkey Munch ( I will post this recipe later).
We had alot of fun and glad that we were able to offer this opportunity this year verses just talking Aaron to his favorite place to eat On his birthday ( which I am still going to do)
I find myself learning new ways to be the mother that he needs not the mother that I had. It’s exciting and I am looking forward to more exciting things to come.
Let’s me just start by saying that I was determined to get something done, so I put the kids in the backyard with some toys and balls. What I found is that the little kids went on an adventure and just started doing stuff, It was Aaron who decided that he was bored after being outside 30 minutes. Add bubbles to this and you get good wholesome fun. Otis was covered from head to toe in bubbles. Gabrielle too.
Fast Foward….
after I get everybody cleaned up and they at least took a little bit of a nap, we go to the movies, which almost wouldn’t have happened if it wouldn’t have been for my husband. We saw Kung Fu Panda, way funnier than Hoodwinked. Story line was great and it was a movie you wanted to follow from beginning to end and not get bored. Otis and Gabrielle started fighting over a drink toward the end but overall great family fun.
So much went on this month and I have barely had a chance to sit down and tell everyone about it ….so why not …dump!….
Spending 99.99% of my time with my kids instead of 80-85% is tiring but they are fun and it’s always nice when they would rather spend their time with me….. plus after they leave it’s boring without them.
The June birthdays went well….cake, cupcakes. Chuck E. Cheese’s….fun.
Aaron’s vacation went from being to weeks from will be a month. I wish other folks could plan better it would help me plan better.
God is still dealing with me in how I deal with people. Somebody needs to be glad I know and love HIM. Cause it’s his love for me that is keeping me loving and praying for those who spitefully use.
Karaoke is fun especially with good friends. Ahh…good friends.
We start saving for Disney next month!!
We didn’t get to do anything we planned for our anniversary. But it still worked out anyway!! Thank you Zakiyah! The kids love you and so do I.
Got new ideas for women’s class and seeking God to revamp for mom’s group…..We’re gonna have a funky good time!
Today my children (OJ & Gabrielle) did something shocking….they tore down all of miss Keisha’s decoration in her room that they could reach. I felt awful, needless to say they got in trouble. I think tommorrow I will make them color a card for her. Sorry, Keisha P. we really do love and appreciate you.
I have given myself seven days to potty train Otis. I know I can do it. But, it’s not going to be easy and it’s probably going to get on my nerves…alot. His birthday is June 23 and I am convinced that he is ready. We will see, won’t we….
Today is Gabrielle’s 3rd birthday and I am really excited about it. Happy Birthday. I wanted to upload the video of our birthday dinner conversation but I could not figure out how to upload it and I am too stubborn to ask. So our dinner conversation went like this:
Me: Happy birthday, Gabrielle!
Gabrielle: Happy Birthday
Me: How old are you today?
Gabrielle: Three (holds up five fingers)
Me: Are you a big girl do you pee/boo-boo in the potty?
Gabrielle: Oh, yes…Big girls boo/pee in the potty.
Me: Are you gonna wear diapers anymore?
Gabrielle: Diapers are for babies I am a big girl
Thank you lord Jesus.
Mother’s day was great. The kids and the granny got me a plaque to hang on the wall of the Lord’s Supper. It’s so baptisty that it doesn’t really go with the decor of my house. However, I am going to put it in my office at the church. Way to go Momma Jo. My wonderful husband is going to allow me to pamper myself. YES! Thank you Jesus. So we move on….Thanks for the gifts, you guys never make me feel like you only appreciate me once a year.
This week we prepare for what is to come. Work, school, and….My Birthday. 26 is the new 25…for me anyway. This is the first year in four years that I have not been pregnant or broke on my birthday. So I am excited. Thank You Jesus! There is only so much you can do when your broke and pregnant.
So I have decided that I am going to celebrate with the kids. That Gabrielle and I would buy some party hats and the such and throw a pink party for mommy.
It’s going to be a good week.
